OVERVIEWVTS Smart Tracking is a fleet management platform designed to help businesses monitor vehicles, optimize routes, manage drivers, and improve operational efficiency through real-time tracking and analytics. Built for MRS Holdings Nigeria, the platform combined web and mobile experiences to support operational teams managing complex transportation workflows across multiple vehicles and locations.
CHALLANGEFleet management systems can be complex, with large amounts of real-time data, alerts, tracking information, and reports. The goal was to create a platform that made it easier for teams to monitor fleet operations, quickly understand key information, and make informed decisions. The platform needed to work smoothly across desktop and mobile while giving users quick access to vehicle locations, driver behavior, route performance, fuel usage, maintenance schedules, trips, and alerts.
MY ROLEAs the Lead Product Designer, I led the UI/UX design for both the website and mobile application, working closely with another designer. My work included user research, creating user flows, designing web and mobile interfaces, building interactive prototypes, collaborating with the client, and coordinating with project managers and developers.
OUTCOMEI delivered responsive web and mobile designs with interactive prototypes that made fleet monitoring and daily operations easier to manage. The redesigned experience improved visibility into fleet activities, simplified tracking workflows, made important information easier to access, and created a more consistent experience across web and mobile.
